It comes from a funny, dear uncle of mine who had me wondering for years of my childhood why on earth he called me NOP. This began ever since I can remember.

Finally one day at a family gathering one he asked me, do you even know why I call you NOP? I pretended I did at first.. like every 'know it all' teenager.. thinking to myself that after all these years I probably should have worked it out by now.

He asked me point blank “why do I call you NOP?” I made a terrible liar I realised in this moment. He continued to tell me that it was a clever interpretation of my full name. Confused and still unclear to me he had to spell it out for me… quite literally. "Are your initials not KLM?" he said? From this moment I just remember asking myself “how did I not work this out earlier?! It was so obvious!” KLM, NOP.

This is how NOP came into my life forever and to honour my favourite uncle I go by the artist name of NOP.
